Greetings Mighty Companions!
In this week’s Miracle Toolbox sharing we take a look at the final section in the forgiveness chapter of The Song of Prayer. This is an extremely informative video on the concept of forgiveness as taught in A Course in Miracles. As you are aware, the practice of true forgiveness is one of the most misunderstood concepts of all time.
Within this video, I explain through the use of simple examples what Jesus would like us to learn about the practice of forgiveness and the two key miracle experiences associated with the practice. The first is learning how to perceive the Light of Christ within ourselves during meditation, and the second is learning how to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit speak to us during meditation. Jesus also makes two key points within section III. Forgiveness-for-Salvation. The first is that we do not know how to practice true forgiveness, however the Holy Spirit does. Furthermore, it is the Holy Spirit’s task to teach us how to practice and experience true forgiveness. Second, it is our job to trust and allow the Holy Spirit to show us the Face of Christ, and to learn how to listen to his Voice.
When I asked Jesus to provide me with a tool for our Miracle Toolboxes this week, nothing came forth. Upon repeated requests for a tool, he eventually shared with me that there are times when we are not qualified to conduct a repair. This is one of those times. At this point, I was inspired with the idea of having a “Mechanic’s Business Card” in my Miracle Toolbox. When it comes to Forgiveness-for-Salvation, we need to out-source our repair work to the Holy Spirit because we are not qualified to complete the repair work for ourselves. This is an extremely important concept to keep in mind. Anytime we have a problem with a relationship in our lives, or when someone else reaches out to us for help, it is extremely important to remember to step back and listen for the Holy Spirit’s help.
It is quite possible to learn how to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit speak to us, but it does take practice. It is easiest to learn through the practice of meditation. Another great lesson within the Workbook for Students that will help us learn how to do this, LITERALLY, is Lesson 125: In quiet I receive God’s Word today. This lesson, if practiced enough, will produce surprising results that will bring a smile to your face when you actually hear God speak to you. The experience is truly a blessing and miracle experience that you will never forget!
Blessings from the Light,
