LESSON 252

The Son of God is my Identity.

¹ My Self is holy beyond all the thoughts of holiness of which I now conceive. Its shimmering and perfect purity is far more brilliant than is any light that I have ever looked upon. Its love is limitless, with an intensity that holds all things within it, in the calm of quiet certainty. Its strength comes not from burning impulses which move the world, but from the boundless Love of God Himself. How far beyond this world my Self must be, and yet how near to me and close to God!

² Father, You know my true Identity. Reveal It now to me who am Your Son, that I may waken to the truth in You, and know that Heaven is restored to me.

Who am I?

I am the Son of God.

I am the Son of God.

Stronger now, feel it deep within your heart. Feel its essence of truth of who you are.

No ID card required.

No Driver's License, social security card, library card, ATM card, grocery store card, member's card.

I am not a minister, counselor, teacher, facilitator, student, writer, leader, web developer, wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, neighbor, volunteer, customer, client, ex-wife, woman, Caucasian, early 40s, middle class, Democrat, citizen, American.

I am not even Deborah.

I am the Son of God.

It may appear in the world that I am all the labels and identities. But the labels do not and will not ever fit the truth. They are merely a collection of meaningless words. Only my judgment puts something on those words. That judgment comes from my past which brings to those words the meaning that they hold for me and meaning to the words that I have made for my brothers. In God, they are all meaningless. The labels have brought separation to the world I see.

Within I am complete and whole and possess only one Identity. In that Identity is simply Love, nothing but pure Love. That Identity is worth more than any other that the world could prescribe for me.

Today, I release the many identities that I have created and even have been attached to in some way. It does not matter if they carry a positive or negative connotation. They are limits all the same. I accept freedom in the brilliant, shimmering Light of Who I am. This Light gently touches me, embracing me with the Love of the Father. I am no longer who I think I am for I have accepted the limitlessness of being the Son of God who my Father created out of perfect Love. I will remember today to be as I was created to be, to extend the rays of Love outward and join with my holy brothers as One.
