Divine Messages: A Journey Through the Workbook for Students
February 8 - Lesson 39

 

Lesson 39 - My holiness is my salvation.

   In practicing the ideas for today's lesson, we are practicing the monitoring of our thoughts. As we step back from the world today, we practice monitoring for unloving or fearful thoughts that enter our minds. Anytime we experience a sense of worry, fear, distress, sadness, or frustration and anger, we want to pause for a moment and choose peace instead. We want to pause for a moment and ask Holy Spirit to heal these unloving thoughts, to free our minds from the fear they bring in exchange for a peaceful mind. This is the process of forgiveness.

 

   We behold the problem in our mind, we ask Holy Spirit for His perception of the problem, and then we pause a moment to receive His new perception of the problem. We give each problem to the Holy Spirit and we ask Him to heal it for us in our minds so that peace may be restored to the mind of God's Son. The Holy Spirit has the answer to every problem but He cannot give it to us unless we really take the time to pause for a moment to receive His answer. We easily get caught up in worrying about the problem we are beholding but we forget to set it down for a few moments and to ask Holy Spirit what does He think about this situation, then to wait and be vigilant for His answer. He will answer us immediately. But are we truly trying to see it? To hear it? To receive it? That is the practice. It will come if we really want it. Do not be fooled by the joys of the ego world. Step back. Let Peace lead your day today. Let Peace be your guide today. Let Peace be your friend today. Make Peace your companion today.  Consult with Him in your mind in every moment and in every situation and follow His guidance. Surely, peace, a quiet sense of joy and serenity will be given to you this very day.
