Lesson 194 - I place the future in the Hands of God.

    As we have said before, the illusion of time is already over. In an instant everything that happened within the realm of time was over. The linear progression of time that you seem to be experiencing now, is really just like replaying the scenes within a movie from your memory after having gone to a theatre and watching the movie. The mind even has the ability to change the scenes on the fly in the movie you are replaying. In any moment of replaying the movie in your mind, you have a choice, you can choose the outcome of the next scene as well. All variations of the scenes have been played out already. You are just experiencing the illusion that you are playing out one particular stream of scenes.

   The ego thought system would have you bouncing back and forth between scenes that go around in circles and never come to an end. The ego's scripts always lead you to a scene of death in the end, and then it erases your memory and starts over again with the progression of serial lives. The ego will keep you trapped in the illusion as long as it can. If it were not for the Answer of Forgiveness given to you by your Father in the moment the tiny mad idea seemed to occur, your mind would have been trapped in the illusion forever.

   Fortunately, this is not really possible in God's World. The Holy Spirit, the Helper, the Guide that Father gave to you when you came up with the mad idea of the dream of life and death, was given to you to help you awaken from your nightmare. Only He knows the way out of the dream and you must continue to learn how to work with Him, listen to Him and to follow His guidance in order to awaken from the dream.

   This is His purpose; this is why Father created Him. He created Him specifically for you, to help you gently awaken from your dreaming. Otherwise, your mind would have been trapped in an endless cycle of the dream of life and death. How thankful we are that Father gave us the Answer Who will show us the way out of our dream of illusions. The past never happened nor is the future really there. As we practice today's lesson, it helps us to loosen the chains on our mind a little more and allows us the opportunity to learn how to shift our perception to the awareness of Now. 

   The present Now is all there is and I do not mean what you see presently in the room with you right now. What you see in the room with you right now is not the present moment to which I am referring. In order to truly experience the present moment, you must learn how to open up your mind and let go of everything you think you are perceiving right now. The beginning of the practice of this type of mind training is done by closing your eyes, letting go of all your thoughts and being still with an open mind. It is here where the Holy Spirit will help your mind to shift into a new perception, a true perception of the World beyond the one you now encounter. You will immediately recognize the shift because the the New World is a world of Light.

   It has beautiful sights and sounds, songs and melodies, which are designed to help you in your awakening. It is a peaceful world, a happy world. It is the borderland between earth and Heaven. It is a gift that the Father has given to you through the Holy Spirit to help you make a sweet transition from the world of darkness to the lawns of Heaven; these lawns will bring you to the gates of Heaven Itself. When you reach the gates of Heaven within your mind and have accepted Atonement for yourself, the world you now know will be long forgotten and God Himself will take the final step as He lifts you back up into Oneness with Him.
