Lesson 192 - I have a function God would have me fill.

    Why would you continue to hide under the umbrella of darkness when you can choose to come out into the Light? You have been given a very wonderful gift. The Light of Forgiveness will heal all of your problems and bring you to a state of joy and happiness all the time. You can seem to stay in hell and deny the Light within for as long as you wish but it is only hell that you ask for. The darkness of your habitual fearful thoughts can keep the Light hidden from your awareness but never truly abolished.

    It takes great willingness to learn how to break through the dark veils within your mind to find the Light of Salvation but it is truly there. It will free you from every fear you to take to It and gladly replace it with joy. It takes practice and a willingness to try and see the Light of Freedom within yourself. Willingness to allow yourself to begin the practice of forgiving the things you now cherish are one of your biggest obstacles to opening up to the Light of Forgiveness. Take each one of these dark things that your mind clings to as you go about your day and give them over to the Light for healing. Let the Light abolish each and every one of these heavy dark things within your mind. You recognize the darkness because it feels heavy, because it weighs your mind down with fear, anxiety and a chattery mind.

   The ego is very persistent in insisting that there is another way to salvation. It can be very convincing in having you hang on to the heavy things of darkness within your mind, shifting them from one form to another. But you are beginning to see this game of hell that the ego has been playing with your mind. It is now our time of awakening, our time of practicing a willingness to forgive these temptations as they come up, one at a time. Salvation is simple, your response to any temptation can be to call the memory of God into your awareness each time a temptation seems to confront you. Pausing a moment to remember the Lesson for the day will also serve the same purpose.

   Whether you believe it will ultimately free you and bring you to happiness or not, practice forgiving anyway. Trust Me on this. Remember you are the one who is dealing with insanity, I am not. Take my hand and give me the willingness to help you out of your pain and into the joyful world Father has created for you. It will help you transition out of your dream of hell and back into the peace and joy of Heaven. It is a sweet transition indeed. Our walk together will be a joyful one. That is my promise to you. How many times must one practice forgiveness? I tell you, a thousand times a thousand times, until it is done. For the goal of forgiveness is both your true desire and God's Will for you. It is the recognition of Who you really are, the Christ, the Holy Son of God Himself. You are innocent, holy and free as God Himself. You are eternal. You remain exactly as God created you. You are Love Itself.
